Well... we adjusted well to the new timezone we are in. It took a couple of days but we now awake in the mornings and get tried around the eavening.. They say that that is the way it is supposed to be.
Last few days have brought much rejoicing to meet our family again but nothing special happened. We went shopping for gifts and other people (hopefully) went shopping for gifts for us. BestBuy/Sam's/Barnes & Nobles/Bit of England,... a bit here, a bit there, a whole lot in some places. We are taking advantage of the low exchange rates between dollar and euro which makes buying stuff here a lot cheaper than in Belgium. If your europrice becomes the dollar price and salestax is 6% instead of 21% then it would be foolish not to take advantage of that.
Tomorrow we are leaving for New Orleans. I foresee 23 hours in the car, hopefully not non-stop. Thyl has been rather cranky in the car the last few days, as if he knows what is coming... I just hope the crankiness dus not pertain just untill we arrive in slidell.
